GILLIAN JONES — THE BERKSHIRE EAGLE Chef Joe Harasyko serves a taste of vegan pelmini, a russian stuffing made with roasted kobocha squash, to Elliott Hunnewell, left, during a cooking class at the Shire City Sanctuary in Pittsfield. Three women and one teenage girl attended the first class taught by Chef Mariana Bergtold, center, which led students through the process of preparing and cooking a healthy and hearty meal made entirely of organic, vegetable-based ingredients. Next month's class will be held on Saturday February 4, from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children over 12 and under 16. Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
