GE Lightning Experiments
BERKSHIRE EAGLE FILE PHOTO
Proper grounding, developed at GE's High Volage Engineering Lab, allowed this doll house to remain unscathed even though it was struck by a 5-million volt of lightning. The June 23, 1949, demonstration was designed to show off the type of research and related development conducted by the Pittsfield lab. Photo originally provided by GE News.
